Pastor Daysman Oyakhilome has emphasized the indispensable role of prayer in building effective cell ministries and advancing soul winning, teaching that true ministry success begins long before believers gather for a meeting.



Speaking during a recent sermon, he explained that prayer is not merely a spiritual routine but the force that mobilizes heaven ahead of every evangelistic effort. According to him, believers who labor in prayer are not carrying out God’s work alone, as heaven actively partners with them through divine orchestration.


Drawing from the biblical account of Cornelius and the Apostle Peter in Acts 10, Pastor Daysman Oyakhilome described how God prepared both the messenger and the recipient before they ever met. He noted that while an angel directed Cornelius to seek Peter, God simultaneously prepared Peter through a vision, demonstrating what he described as God’s coordinated involvement in soul winning.


He further encouraged cell leaders to prioritize prayer above relying solely on human effort, explaining that prayer prepares hearts, removes unnecessary delays, and creates opportunities for the gospel to reach people at the right time.


“You are not running the cell alone,” he said, reminding believers that heaven is actively involved in the work of evangelism. He stressed that while practical strategies remain valuable, they are most effective when built upon a foundation of prayer.


Pastor Daysman Oyakhilome concluded by encouraging Christians to remain steadfast in prayer, expressing his belief that a praying church experiences greater divine direction, effectiveness, and impact in fulfilling the Great Commission.
